Interested in joining Explorers, eh?

Checklist:

• Take a look around the site: different folds, guild responsibilities, perhaps a brief history of the guild, and other places around the site.
• Make a visit to our “camp” by registering at our forums (registration is free) and introducing yourself (make a post in the Entryway).  We’d prefer it be in character. We don’t want to see any: “LOLZ! I WaNT 2 joiN plz. PLZ! PLZ!!1!11″

  Here are a few examples of good intros:

  Remember, the idea is this is our camp and you are stopping by to introduce yourself and say hi. Having a story or some character background is a nice start. Mentioning your race is appreciated as well. An IC introduction does not need to be perfect. We appreciate if someone tries. Many of us have learned to RP through the guild.

• Next, try to meet as many of us in game as you can, in particular, overseers. We try to be active but, eh, … real life and all. To see who is around, just type “/who explorers”. So be patient.

• If it seems like you’ll fit in with the Explorers, you’ll be invited as a Wanderer.  This is a recruit status.  Here you’ll have the opportunity to mingle with members and ask any questions.As a Wanderer, you’ll have several tasks to perform before being accepted as a full member.  Visit here to see what’s next as a Wanderer.  Full acceptance is done at a minimum of one week after being accepted as a Wanderer.
  Important note:  Certain links are restricted due to Planeshift’s spoiler policy.  You can only have access to these pages once you have a forum account and you are added to the wanderer’s group.  There are still other pages you’ll have access to once admitted as a full member.
• Once you have completed these tasks, find a full member in game and present your tasks.  Once they are satisfied you have met the requirements, you will be accepted into your fold of choice.  If you can’t find anyone in game, you can also visit us in irc (details at the bottom of this page) and see if anyone is there.

• Inactivity policy:  Wanderer is a temporary status.  We generally give Wanderers a maximum of a month to complete their tasks before removing them from the list.  If removed, Wanderers can always reapply any time.

So to sum up:
1. Create a forum account and make an introduction
2. Someone will add your name to the wanderers group of the forum giving you access to the detailed task page.
3. Once your tasks are completed (no sooner than one week after being accepted as a wanderer), present your tasks in game.
